The drywall for the next two apartments is hung! I've got the cornerbead and tear-away finished in the one-bedroom apartment and will be finishing up the two-bedroom apartment shortly. I love not seeing the insulation any longer and it really feels like these apartments are now apartments.
The insulation is finally done. I'm more than a little happy to not have to continually itch from the stuff and cannot wait until I no longer have to look at it. The drywall was delivered the day after these photos were taken, so I shouldn't have to see it for too much longer.
We had our first inspection today for the next two apartments. This inspection was for the framing, rough-in wiring and plumbing, and the service entrance for the electric. We passed with flying colors.
One of the temporary fixes we had done was the $4.97 lights we had put up over the back apartment doors. For whatever reason, it took perusing through hundreds of lights before finding ones that I liked. No one knows why I was so picky about these.
When we first purchased the building we contacted the Historical Society to see if they could tell us anything about its history. While they didn't have much information, they did send us a photo they had of the place, but weren't sure when it was taken.
